Laptops or PCs that are slow to boot up can be caused by a few things 1. Too little ram causing alot of page file usage 2. Too many applications being loaded at startup 3. Viruses If you have an XP machine I would reccomend at least 1GB of RAM and if you have VISTA then I would recomend 2GB of RAM I can upgrade your RAM if you need it. If you have plenty of RAM then I could clean the machine getting rid of all unecessary start up applications and ensure that you are virus free. AVG is an excellent Anti Virus Package and is completely free - go to our downloads section to get it. Edited by Roy Cruse on 29-04-2009 12:40 Roy Cruse ----------------- 1st Technology |
